Baker Commits to MacEwan University
Former Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athlete Daniel Baker has committed to MacEwan University for the 2022/23 season.
Baker spent two seasons in the CSSHL with the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) U18 Prep team. The Edmonton, AB defenseman recorded 51 points in 48 games, helping NAX capture a U18 Prep League Championship during the 2017/18 season.
A second-round pick, 28th overall in the 2016 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft by the Medicine Hat Tigers, Baker would spend four full seasons in the WHL, including captaining the team during the 2021/22 campaign. In 213 WHL games Baker recorded 20 goals and 69 assists.
